New interface for posting a blog.  Guess it's been a long time since I was here.  But all my storm blogging is at Against the Wind
It's a rough and busy time, and that for those of us with power, a roof and a home.  But New Orleans area and Gulf Coast residents have plenty of heart.  We're dancing in the spirit.  Our dancing togs are stained with sweat and dirt, but we are not vanquished.  Not by a long shot.

Unmitigated horn tooting is called for here.  I had 100% of one section pass the proficiency exam on the first try.   I've never had that happen before, EVER!   Neither has anyone else on the faculty.  That's absolutely phenomenal.  Ok, there were only 9 who came to take the exam, and the original enrollment was only 13, but all nine passed.  Woohoo!  What a way to go out.
